IT-ROCS is a 10-week NSF-sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at The City College of New York, a CUNY campus located in NYC. This program will support nine students each summer as part of a comprehensive summer research program focused on climate science and the impacts of climate change on Earth’s ecosystems, coupled with an education outreach component in partnership with local non-profit organizations.

Students will be selected from a pool of local, regional and national applications. IT-ROCS welcomes applications from students from backgrounds and identities historically excluded from STEM pathways, as well as students with little or no prior research experience. Students are provided with a $6,250 stipend, travel, housing and food allowances, and relocation support for those traveling to NYC from outside the area.
The Summer 2024 program will run from June 10 – August 16, 2024. Applications will be available beginning in mid-October 2023 and will close Feb 29, 2024.
